在纽约动漫展（NYCC）开幕之际，迪士尼、漫威宣布了多部新片计划，其中包括《蚁人》的续集《蚁人和黄蜂》（Ant-Man and the Wasp）。
没有看过《蚁人》漫画或电影的观众可能对“黄蜂”不太熟悉，这个角色的出场其实在《蚁人》片尾彩蛋里就有所暗示。当时迈克尔·道格拉斯饰演的汉克·皮姆博士（Hank Pym）向女儿“霍普”（Hope Van Dyne）展示了她母亲珍妮特（Janet）的“黄蜂服”（Wasp）。
“霍普”由伊万杰琳·莉莉（Evangeline Lilly）扮演，她因为老爸让保罗·路德（Paul Rudd）饰演的斯考特·朗（Scott Lang）而不是自己穿上“蚁人”服，而耿耿于怀。不过在影片最后，汉克·皮姆告诉她：当年她母亲珍妮特（Janet）也是一个超级英雄——“黄蜂”（Wasp），后在一次任务中牺牲。为了保护女儿，皮姆博士才不愿把蚁人服传给霍普。
《蚁人与黄蜂》将是漫威世界第三阶段的影片之一，计划2018年7月6日上映。伊万杰琳·莉莉（Evangeline Lilly）扮演“黄蜂”，保罗·路德（Paul Rudd）饰演“蚁人”。
