故事背景设定在一个名为西弗敦的小镇，在同一天中，史无前例的多个龙卷同时席卷这个小镇，在这些难以预测且极度致命的龙卷风群袭击下，整个小镇面临灭顶之灾。但专门研究龙卷风的追风人预测，更糟糕的情况还尚未真正到来。大多数居民都在紧迫寻找避难所，而这些追风者们却“逆向而行”赶到龙卷漩涡前，测试需要走多远才能拍到这千载难逢的极端时刻。

灾难片脑残粉表示很满意 (￣ˇ￣)
花样作死选手们又有了新的平台与方向。
毫无可取之处，试图制造临场感的伪纪录形式如果滥用就会适得其反，再加上烂俗的配乐更使全片虚假做作，除了两个主角外其余演员的表演根本没法直视，剧情更是荒唐可笑，相比之下96年的《龙卷风》都可以称为神作了，那时的特效技术虽然没现在那么发达，但看起来远比这片震撼。
中规中矩灾难片，拍摄手法是还挺有想法的，不过最终效果也就是中规中矩，能看，比变形金刚4看的舒坦
